So I have ringworm. I'm scared I have given it to my cats or I got it from one of them. How do I tell if they have it? How do I treat them? Has anyone else experienced this before?
So you have been exposed to ringworm somewhere, usually if it came from your cats, they would show signs of it before it shows up in you.
You will see small patches of fur loss, and the skin there will look dry, scaly.
Often times it will first show on the face, around the ears, eyes, etc.
Keep the spot on you treated and covered with a bandage to avoid swiping the spot on your cat's fur and passing it on to them.
It's not a big deal on us but sort of a long dragged out pain when the cats get it.
For you: Put some iodine on a q-tip and liberally spread it over the spot. Do this twice a day until you notice it's dead. Warning...will stain and burn. But will kill it.
