Does anyone have any advice on repelling fleas for my cat, a way to keep them from wanting to jump on him at all??
Short of not taking him out on his harness?
He is on a monthly flea/tick treatment, and I also spray the yard with flea spray as well as a IGR to control the fleas. But he still picks up fleas when I take him out on a harness. The treatment should kill them within 24 hours, but that long enough for him to eat one while grooming. So he ends up getting a Tapeworm, about every 6 weeks! So I have to treat that as well. I feel like that must be hard on him with the constant Tapeworm treatment meds.
There are no fleas in my house, and he isn't infested with them either. So I know his flea/tick treatment works, it just doesn't repel the fleas. I also use a flea comb after every "walk" in the yard and I usually find 1 or 2.
I really want to find a way to keep the fleas off of him in the first place. Is there any cat safe flea REPELLANT?
TIA
