Hi, I recently rescued a cat who has been diagnosed with early stage kidney disease. I want to help him in whatever ways I can and am trying to go a holistic route. I've read in various places that the human version of a supplement called "Renafood" by Standard Process can be helpful. They make a cat version, but from what I've read it isn't as effective. So, I'm not sure how to get the regular Renafood for my cat. According to the Standard Process website you have to consult a specialist in your area.... either a doctor/chiropractor or a vet. A regular doctor/chiro isn't going to be able to reccomend anything for my pet, and a veterinarian wouldn't reccomend a human formula for my cat  ( would they??).

The product is not supposed to be sold online, though I've seen it a couple of places with a jacked up price. I'm not sure whether to go that route or not.

Has anyone purchased this product for their cat, and can you please tell me how you got/get it? Thanks!

I've never heard of this.  I am familiar with Standard Process, though.  I would look into feeding your kitty a low phosphorus food for beginners.
