Refrigerated Fresh?

Just noticed at my local market in the pet food section a refrigerated bag of cat food for $4.99 a pound. Didn't have time to pick it up and examine but at that price it's cheaper than lots of canned; I could keep it in the freezer and heat a couple ounces a day to supplement his dry and still come out ok money-wise. Has anyone tried it? I'd assumed fresh food would be quite expensive.

Hi! I only know it from tv commercials that are aimed at dog owners, and seeing the product in refrigerators in Walmart etc...so, no, not really.
If you like the ingredients I'd say go for it

My dog likes Freshpet as a treat around the holidays but my cat wouldn't eat it. She's picky though so that really isn't saying much.
