Hi. So about 4 days ago my 6 month old kitten Luna jumped off my brother's shoulder and landed on the second stair doing down in our bi-level house. I would say the fall was about 6-6.5 feet down. Anyway when she landed, she must've landed wrong because she started meowing and she never meows (shes not a talkative kitten). I wasnt there but my brothers and my dad were all there and as soon as it happened they bought her to my room and she was limping as she walked. We gave her cold pack almost immediately for her to lay on. Since then we have been giving her a heatpack whenever she lays down to rest but she always moves away from it. I'm pretty sure she sprained her right back knee becuase when i touch or she hits the leg somewhere she makes a sound (not a meow but a sound of uncomfort) or swats/bites my hand away. She hasnt become lethargic. She eats good and goes to the litter and plays/is active. she doesnt run though its clear that she wants to. She also seem to get tired easier and wants sleep more which we understand and we let her because rest will help her leg. We also try to get not to jump down from places (like beds) so her leg heals better but she still jumps up and down the stairs from the basement to the top floor. The problem is that we cant take her to the vet for another 5 days due to some circumstances and I have been scouring the internet trying to find ways to ease a cats pain without medicine. Other than the heat/cold pack I havent found any. It hurts me so much to see my little baby in pain and thats why I'm on here. Please help.
