i found a red bug on my cats tail, i tried to grab it but couldnt. i dont know if its a termite, we have termite issues. i plan on spraying cat nip on my cats tree just in case.

or could it have been a flea or tick? i tend to only apply revolution a few times a year. i havent applied in a few months. my cats are not overly itchy, they just scratch a bit here and there. mostly their faces. lol

i plan on buying revolution tomorrow. i dont have a flea comb, will the revolution be enough?

my cats have never been flea/tick infested, as they are indoor only.

If your cat is indoor only, fleas is unlikely...but fleas are black and dont look like anything like termites. You do have a termite infestation? Termite can bite your cat. Buy a flea comb first, its 3 $. Why do you treat your cat against fleas if he doesnt go outside at all?

My cats are indoor only but they had fleas when we moved into the flea infested area. Indoor cats can get fleas from outdoor animals at a window or from your clothes e.g. fleas can jump on your clothes from outside and get into your house. I don't know much about termite/tick on cats.

I agree with Lalka to get a flea comb first. It is much cheaper than revolution. My cats have no flea now but I still use the flea comb regularly to check their coat.

yes, i heard termites can bite cats. but i heard the poison used on bugs can kill cats too. ive heard of people going back into buildings with their pets, once the company says its safe, and animals have died. it makes me nervous to have the house treated. =( i use flea medicine on my cats occasionally. i was told by a vet that you should use it monthly to prevent worms.
