I just came across this news article and was shocked to learn that 70 dogs died from consuming the SportMix Petfood that had Aflatoxin in it. Last month there was a voluntary pet food recall of a number of SportsMix brands. The recall has been expanded to other products under the Sportsmix Pet food line, including cat food products.

Attached is an article with more info. This is alarming! Over 80 pets are sick from consuming this petfood.

UPDATE

In the first of probably many to follow, a lawsuit was just filed against Midwestern Pet Food for failing to properly test their pet foods which resulted in numerous pet deaths.

Good. I hope these poor pet owners get some compensation for what happened to their pooches. Although, nothing will bring these poor pooches back; hopefully, it will prevent this from happening again.

I saw the other link that listed how many countries this company exported to. I have a feeling more than eighty dogs as many people will not be aware of the cause of death and the brand of food is sold around the world sadly.
