My vet suggested that I give raw meat to Mackerel along with her normal cat food to help her put on some weight and muscle tone, and Mackerel LOVED it. I really think that giving raw meat as a treat would be a great idea- you would have to be really aware about wheher they were still eating the cat food and make sure that the meat you bought is fresh and healthy, but it sounds like a great idea.
