Our adopted cat is a mystery. The shelter thought she was a Birman, as she has more of a squsshed face and bent nose. But no white paws. The vet thinks she's a ragdoll. What do you think? She weighs 3.5kg (7.9lbs) and is about 2 years old. I'm so interested to know!

Heya! I’d describe your kitty as a blue point domestic longhair. Imo, she doesn’t have any traits that would definitively place her into either breed category, as her facial structure doesn’t particularly resemble either breed, Most cats aren’t of any specific breed, or mix of breeds, but that doesn’t make them any less special. She’s a gorgeous girl, regardless! She may have some Persian/Himalayan or British ancestry with her muzzle, but it’s hard to say, as it’s not extreme, imo.

Birmans have always white socks, they do carry an especial variant of the white spot gene, that is why they always have more or less white feet.

with ragdolls it may vary. So, IF a look alike, it will be here a ragdoll.

But a pretty good bet is, she is a domestic longhair blue point.
