Radagast Pet Food voluntarily recalls three lots of Cat Food
The following recall information was received from Radagast Pet Food.

July 6, 2018, Radagast Pet Food, Inc. of Portland, OR is recalling three lots of Rad Cat Raw Diet Free-Range Chicken Recipe because testing results indicate they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Company is also recalling one lot of Rad Cat Raw Diet Pasture-Raised Venison Recipe because testing results indicate it has the potential to be contaminated with Shiga Toxin producing E. coli O121. This recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution. Due to Radagast Pet Food’s commitment to food safety and quality, The Company is conducting this voluntary recall.

Kudos to Rad Cat being proactive, testing their own food, and being honest with consumers. Great company.

Thanks for posting this.. I have some tubs at home I’ll have to check.

Just wanted to point out to people that might be freaked out by this that all raw food is likely to have some degree of bacteria/pathogens because it is raw. We feed cats raw food because they can handle it (they have highly acidic stomachs)... in the same way that that can handle the dead mouse full of pathogens that they eat outside or all of the bacteria that they pick up and lick off their paws. Rad Cat seems to be an honest company that is trying to do its best to meet the FDA’s zero tolerance policy while still being transparent with consumers.
