Queston about cat privates..

Sure just like people the testicles are inside the body cavity some os the time. As the child/kitten matures they drop into the scrotum.

I had a horse that this happened to, the vet elected to go and search for it and found it. He said eventually it would of dropped on it's own but since he was already in there and the horse was asleep-It's not a common problem, but it is also not rare.

Vet didn't seem like it was something we should get worried about, but did think it was relatively uncommon but not unheard of.

Your cat is a "cryptoorchid", if you want to look it up. We had a boxer whose testicles never descended, and were told that he had a higher risk of cancer because of it. Since he never showed the least bit of interest in female dogs, we opted not to have him castrated. That's obviously not an option for you. I've also heard of little boys where one or both testicle(s) didn't descend into the scrotum, and they had to be operated on. I imagine your cat's castration is going to be a bit more involved and expensive than usual.
