I am new here and I really need some advice on ringworm. I fostered a mother cat some time ago and she had her babies at my home. I was asked to take in another abandoned kitten two weeks younger. The mother accepted her. She ended up with ringworm and the others caught it. I treated them all and kept them from my two cats downstairs but somehow one of them has caught it too and we were so carefull. I am at the end of my rope. Is this something that will go on and on and keep going back and forth.
I have read horror stories on the net about how you have to throw everything out and its nearly impossible to get rid of. Also that the spores dont die for four years. The two we kittens we wanted to keep are on oral and cream meds and I am in the process of getting oral meds for my other cats along with the cream.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have my adult cat in one room the kittens on the next floor and the other one who shows no signs yet on the bottom floor.
Ps Now I have it as well.
