Hello everyone :) Happy Tuesday! Hope all is well!

Grab the first book that is closest to you. Read the first sentence on Page 105.

What does it say?

As for moi:

"And opening the window with a jerk,
Stuck out his arse, a handsome piece of work,
Buttocks and all, as far to the haunch,
Said Absalon, all set to make a launch,
'Speak, pretty bird, I know not where thou art!'
This Nicholas at once let fly a fart,
As loud as if it were a thunder-clap,
He was near blinded by the blast, poor chap,
But his hot iron was ready; with a thump,
He smote him in the middle of the rump."

(The Canterbury Tales, The Miller's Tale chapter, by Geoffrey Chaucer) Just my luck to land myself on one of the naughtier parts.

Grabbed my Kindle from the last book read:

"One evening after work late, Conley stopped by a party at a social club, where he proceeded to get rather thoroughly plastered."

From: Tibetan Peach Pie - a biography from the author Tom Robbins (of "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues" fame, and many more)

"NOTE: Remember, the Item Description window will update when you click different feature classes."

More exciting text like that can be found in ArcGIS Desktop 1: Getting Started with GIS

And yes, I am at work.

I am reading Clive Cussler's Piranha. Good book.Library books on my Nook do not have regular page numbers. They go by "Page 7 of 8" for each chapter.

So on page 7 of 8 of Chapter 9 (which is about as close to page 105 as I can figure out):

The tank bolted across the bridge, an implacable juggernaut charging toward what the Venezuelans must have thought were immovable objects.

The closest book to me right now is the dictionary and I am not going to write that whole page
but here are the first and last words:  balance of nature and ball and claw foot.

But a few telltale feathers stuck to the chicken wire fence told a gruesome tale: a visiting raccoon had grabbed birds one by one and pulled them out through the wire, essentially pureeing its prey.

Wolfgang smiled as a certain harmony consumed him, and he immediately began to compose in his head. He could hear the music. It would be a requiem Mass for Susannah. He could see it all so clearly, even the ending.

Is dependent on another to have some need fulfilled and that the other person (or persons) is dependent on the first to have the same or other needs fulfilled.

From : Human Communication, Fifth Edition, COM 1000, University of Central Florida.

Riveting. Just riveting.
