Ice and snow. I walk in pretty much everything and anything, but I really don't like walking when it's snowing or freezing raining. It's just ugly. (Rick says that's what my YakTrax are for and I agree, but I still don't like it.)
ice is my least favorite. either freezing rain type ice, or the ice that comes from snow melting and then refreezing. it's just so very dangerous, and can be hard to see/notice sometimes.
Freezing rain as it's the most dangerous to both drivers and pedestrians. Canada had a really bad freezing rain storm that crippled all the transportation
in the Eastern part of Ontario and Quebec. Several people died as a result and several cattle had to be put down due not being able to milk the massive herd's of cattle by machine. It went on for several days as the weather system stalled.
Freezing rain and ice, especially black ice that is impossible to see while walking. I've fallen on black ice and fell flat on my back, knocking my head on the ground and ended up with painful whiplash
I don't mind just plain snow unless it's a 5 ft + snowpile I have to somehow climb up and over to get to where I need to go.
Actually, I agree and do hate that more than icy weather.
I can cope with low temperatures at least. Once it's into the 80's or above with added humidity I just fall apart. I lived in Florida for 3 years and was so happy to come back to the northeast!
I hate hot weather, any thing over 100. It makes me sweat, it makes me tired, it makes me have no ambition at all, even though I know I have to get things done. I used to not like cold winters, but as long as I can keep my ferals fed so they can make body heat, I am happy and can stay inside and stay warm. Winter gives me a break from all my outside work, which I wouldn't give up, and I can charge up for spring. I just wish that the coldest it would get would be 25 or so, that would be marvalous!
I do not care for any weather that occurs here in the northeastern United States between September 1 and say, May 30.
I am sorry to sound so ungrateful, but I am truly happy all summer long, the hotter, the better.
I have lived here my entire life and my dream would be to live in a warm, sunny climate that stays the same throughout the year. I love the temps between 85-97 the best. I feel the best mentally and physically in the heat. I really believe people like certain temps because of their biological make-up. I can be prone to more depression during the change of seasons.
It is intriguing to me that people are drawn to certain things, like tastes, colors and temps/weather. I really do believe it is due to the physical makeup of a person. I really enjoyed all the different responses!
