The remote. When I can't think of it's name I say the watcha-ma-call-it. I find that the older I get the more I use the latter.

I've said stuff like "That thing, you know, that thing that controls the other thingie."

Lost. I must have to find it 20-30 times a day for my husband. I have threatened to superglue it to his hand it is so bad.

I just call it the remote, occasionally the clicker

I don't think I'd call it the plonker! (Doesn't that mean a certain male contraceptive in England?)
