Although a native Chicagoan, I'm north of the city now.You must be in a colder part of the Chicagoland area than me, because my Accuweather says right now in my town it's -2 and feels like -9.
Funny that. In the last storm a few weeks ago, I ran out of bread and milk. Never realized how much I needed them until I didn't have them. Oh, and cat food.Meanwhile in Maryland...

That explains it. I'm west. Never lived in the city, though, just worked there.Although a native Chicagoan, I'm north of the city now.
It was around 50 the other morning when I got to work at 5:45 AM. I didn't bother wearing a jacket. I was going from the house to the car to the office. I was chilly but it wasn't unbearable. You wouldn't believe how many people scolded me for not "bundling up". People were coming in wearing Uggs, parkas, gloves, scarves and hats. Like they were at the North Pole or something. It was comical. I've lived here for 16 years so yes, I get it that our blood is thinner and what we call cold is different than what others call cold but that was just ridiculous.Haha, yep!
It's going to be 45 degrees tomorrow. One of my co-workers says he'll be wearing shorts. Let's see if he sticks to that!
