Good morning and Happy TGIF! (And Happy last Friday of 2013!)
Question is very easy this morning: When will you take down your Christmas tree and decorations? Do you take everything down immediately on the day after Christmas? Do you wait until New Year?
We take our Christmas trees and decorations down on New Year's Day. Last year, though, dear Richard wanted to keep the tree up for an extra week, so we did so. But usually by the night of New Year's Day, the decorations are put away and the house is back to whatever passes for normal around here. I won't put my dishes away until around the end of February or so, probably around Presidents' Day weekend. I like to keep the dishes out for awhile.
I will probably take the Tacky White Tree down this Sunday while Rick is at church. Tabby has been pretty good with the tree overall. Except for the other night....Rick heard a noise in the kitchen. He walked out, just in time to see Tabby rolling out of the tree! No harm done to Tabby, but the poor branches really suffered.
