i've never had a cat before and i purchased a kitten last weekend. i kept her in the bathroom for the first two nights with her food and water and her litter box. she picked right up on the litter box and began eating and drinking normally. after a few nights of sleeping in the bathroom i let her into the bedroom with me. while purring is cute during the day, she curls right up next to my head and the purring is like a jackhammer. i don't want to have to lock her in the bathroom but i can't sleep with her walking over my head and purring right next to my head. does anyone else have a similar experience? can anyone tell me if she might grow out of it and stop constantly purring?
