Alright, I know. I must be crazy. When the recall happened (Natural Balance V&GP) I was desperate to switch foods. I live in a very small community, and couldn't find any dry cat foods within a 3 hour drive that didn't contain fish or chicken in them. (One scratches her face off with fish, the othr gets "squirty" with chicken, and neither of them will really eat wet) Since I was leaving on Friday to go on vacation, and my neighbor is not exactly the type to cook meals for my cats in my absence. So, in a final act of desperation- I bought a bag of California Natural puppy food (lamb and rice). Now, I understand that such a food is not a good idea for the long term, but, I am wondering if this food is sufficient to feed for a few weeks until the venison & green pea is rereleased (4-6 weeks).
