Ransom has not been eating as of yesterday, puking up his water and I noticed his BM is full of mucus.
Vet ruled out anything with organs with blood work today, gave him an injection for settling his stomach and sent me home with oral meds for puking and diarrhea. I'm worried to death still... He's 11Mos old and has never even puked till this.
He's fighting an ongoing battle with ear mites and tapeworms as he was infested so badly when I got him.
The only things that have changed around this time was.
1. Bought a cat grass plant and planted it in the Lowe's potting mix ( His first time with cat grass) He ate from it often.
2. Bought a new cat litter made from walnuts and filled one of the boxes with it.
3. I replaced the cat water fountain with a new filter.
He's around 11mo old
Indoor only
Has had blood work done today that ruled out organ problems/ diabetes
Tested for FLV and FIV
The vet didn't think worms would cause this.
He drinks purified water out of his pet fountain and has been eating Blue Buffalo Basics for the past 3mos as he refuses all wet food.
I'm kind of lost here and would love to hear any similar experiences any of you have had.
I'm afraid something may have been passed up at the vet.
Thank you.
Update - He has now puked up green liquid @ 12am
I also just realized the cat grass I planted was in a potting mix with fertilizers. Could it be that possibly caused this?
