Does anyone know where to find protective leather gloves that cover the entire arm? I'm about to start fostering for a rescue and they suggested it might be a good idea to have these for those 'upset' kitties who lash out.
Thanks!

Benning--they have such a helmet from the Grenada Invasion). Ennyhoo, there is no cat (tigers, lions and the like excluded) that can bite through them, and cat bites are the real worry.
Cat bites are traveling germ circuses, they're dirtier than dog bites. You can't catch diseases other than rabies (rare in the US) from cat bites--the species barrier is generally too great but I've heard unconfirmed rumors of avian flu moving into feline populations, but I've seen first-hand how infected and painful they can be. But the ACES gauntlets are impenetrable--a domestic cat, no matter how feral, cannot bite through them.
The gauntlets reach to both elbow and shoulder lengths. The gauntlet extensions are not Kevlar-lined but but are made of heavy enough leather to defeat the cat's claws.
One can feel confident manually handling even the meanest, biggest wildest feral cat with those gauntlets.
