Does anybody do dental cleanings, just as a preventative measure for a cat with fairly good teeth, rather than specifically to address periodontal disease? Some vets suggest doing yearly cleanings.
My kitty with periodontal disease just had his dental cleaning done. He had massive amounts of tartar and had one tooth pulled. His mouth looks so much better now.
I've been contemplating doing a cleaning for my younger kitty too. He has just a little bit of tartar on his back teeth and otherwise, his teeth looks great. I've been consistently brushing his teeth every day since the end of August/early September or so.
Any thoughts?
