Who is who in the photographs?

Kitten #5 is a runt. With both moms having quintuplets, you need to make sure he is not being pushed away at meal times.

You are sure that one is a boy, right?
Not fully sure but I know three are girls and I was right about the last litter. Two were fighting for the same nipple last I saw them eat but I helped them get their own.

Should I weigh them again today to make sure they are gaining?

It can’t hurt to weigh every 12 hours for the first few days since there are some small ones.

Every day like with Salem's kittens, yes.

Kittens are silly when they fight for the same nipple even though Mom has six of them. Do some breasts produce more milk?

Pip and Onyx did not gain much. Keep an eye on these two. How old is this litter now?

The second set are gaining beautifully!

Yeah I am worried but the others stopped gaining before and by the next day they would gain a lot. I looked up when to start the weaning process but got mixed answers. When do you think I should start weaning them? And they should be four weeks by 12 tonight I think?

You can try a mush of pate and KMR on a flat plate anytime now. The bigger ones may go for it soon, or it could take another week or two. You’ll need to experiment.

Once they hit three weeks I got them a litter box but they just eat it so I removed it yesterday and mama salem still eats there poop from what I can tell. I think I will wait a week and try the pate kmr then.
