Here is my sisters post.
So, years and years ago Midnight got sick with crystals in his urine. He was put on a special diet and everything cleared up. He has been out here with me 2 1/2 years and not been sick at all until the last couple of months.
In Sept, I noticed Midnight was frequently going into the litter box and not much was happening while he was in there. I took him to the vet thinking it was the same as the years prior. They put him on a special diet and gave him some antibiotics in case of infection.
Last month, I called the vet to go in since nothing had changed. The diet should have been working to help break down the crystals but they weren't. I was given a suspension antibiotic and continued him with his diet. I was told to follow up in a month.
So, I take him in and they give him his 3rd ultrasound and basically tell me that nothing has changed and the only option is surgery. So I will be dropping him off at 8 am and they will be cleaning out his bladder and sending the stones or whatever out to be checked. I hope everything turns out ok.
I just get nervous knowing that he has to go through surgery and if something went wrong I would freak out. I held him in my hand the day he was born. He is my little baby! He's only 6 so hopefully everything works out ok. He has to stay there for one night and I'm sure they will keep me posted.
I guess i should go to bed now so I can get up early and drop him off.
