I think the trick was . . . that I wasn't trying to get a good photo! LOL!Originally Posted by lisasha3
How do you guys get photos of your babies with the flash? It looks like this beauty had a flash used, yet the eyes are perfect. Hmm.........what am I doing wrong? I've managed to catch one photo out of like 1000! Please clue me in! Do I need to spend a catrillion dollars on a new camera just to take furbaby photos...
The software that I use in transfering photos from digital camera to the computer wasn't working properly; it looked like I had no images on the camera. So I just grabbed the camera and used it as a "point and shoot" with no special settings or special effort. I just wanted to make sure that it was the software not working and not that there really were no photos in the camera. Sheba just happened to be sitting on my desk about one foot from me, so she was the natural subject. Otherwise I'd have just photographed the junk on my desk. My camera does have a special "red-eye reduction" setting, but I didn't use it. Anyway, I finally figured out a manual way to get the photos transferred and this was one of the results. And amazingly, it was one of the best close-ups I've got of Sheba! Luck. Pure luck on this one.
