Polynesian Cat?

Met this cool fella in French Polynesia. 

What kind of breed(s) could that be?

Welcome! He's beautiful, that's what he is!

Looks like he's a domestic long hair (or short, hard to tell in the photo)

I've also asked a mod to move this thread to a more appropriate location

the most probable is he is one of the local moggies, random breed, but in practice getting some sort of a quite common average looks, more or less typical for cats in the whole neigborhood.   

Unless he or his parents did come with some new arrival immigrant/diplomat/guest worker from Europe / USA...

Are the other cats there looking roughly the same, or is he outstanding among the local, French Polynesian cats??
