Please help!!!

I came home from work today to my cat chewing on a small stick of wood I use for my wood burning stove. I took the stick from her and when I did I noticed her left eye was cloudy, and red. My assumption is that she somehow poked herself with the stick while playing with it. Will this heal or is she going to be blind in that eye? And would you recommend taking her to the vet ASAP??

I would take her to the vet. That looks painful and only an exam will determine what the damage may be.

Hi. Right there with the other members. Even if it was a poke, there could be wood debris in her eye. She could also have seriously injured her eye. Better safe than sorry. Hope it turns out to be nothing but some serious irritation!

I would take her to the vet. Even if there is no damage to the eye (praying), she still could be experiencing pain, and you don't want that.

Thank you so much everyone! It doesn’t seem to be bothering her luckily..she still rubs up against me pretty hard on that side with her face. I’m taking her to the vet in the morning to get it checked out and make sure her eye is clean of any dirt or wood shavings. Much thanks.
