Below is a listing for a kitty that really needs help. I have worked with the woman who runs this rescue many, MANY times and she has helped me with my foster kitties many, many times. I assure you that she takes the best of care to her foster kitties. Please, even if you can give one dollar, it can make a difference for Freddy.....
FREDDY...is one of THE SADDEST cases of neglect we have ever had in this rescue and it will be a LONG TIME before he is ready for a new family. He is a 3 year old Flamepoint Himalayan who has probably lived most of his life in severe discomfort. He was from a home in Indiana where he was allowed to live with such a severe earmite infestation that he literally scratched the outside of his ears into shreds and there are open wounds around his neck from the scratching . The deep-seated, painful infections in his ears are so severe that the vet has never seen anything like this in a cat. As a result Freddy is going to have to have major surgery that will completely remove his swollen ear canals and ear drums. It will render him deaf, but due to the swelling he can't hear much anyway and he will then finally not be in pain anymore. One of the reasons Freddy's owners dumped him at a shelter was they said he was "unfriendly." This little boy purrs up a storm at any attention...he just can't bear to have his head touched, for obvious reasons. This is going to be a very expensive surgery for this rescue and we are putting out a plea for donations to directly help Freddy by getting this done. If you would like to help, please drop us a note at [email protected] and we can give you more details.
