A group of pigeons just attacked me outside my apartment.

I don't know what I did to provoke them. Anyone has a idea? I was just about to clean the concrete steps that wer

Is it probably because they always see me feeding the streetcats that are their number one predators? Should I feed these darn birds too?

We rescued a pigeon once. Now I am afraid of them. I have 2 budgies of my own, both rescues.

Darn! I will be afraid stepping out of my door from now on.

Another addition to my list of phobias. ☹
I am still shaken.

That is very strange! Do you suppose there is a nearby nest they were defending? I doubt sincerely that they decided to attack you because you feed the street cats. Most wildlife are not vindictive by nature.

Hopefully, it was a onetime deal - but take an umbrella outside with you and open it up for protection the next few times you go out, just in case. If it does have something to do with a nest close by, it won't be an issue once the eggs have hatched and the fledglings leave the nest.

FeebysOwner FeebysOwner Furballsmom Furballsmom I just noticed today that my original post was not even complete. I guess I was badly shaken to notice.

I don't really know what I did. Since yesterday was a Friday and a regular non-working day where I am, I usually do some semi-general cleaning. Since there was a heavy rain the other day, the steps to my front door were muddied so I decided to clean it, which was not the first time btw that I have done so. Holding a bottle of cleaning solution and a cloth mop on the other hand, I went just outside my front door. When I was bending down to apply the cleaning liquid, I felt something hard hit my head and quickly realized it was a bird. It was like he/she was pushing me. Initially I thought the bird just hit me accidentally so I bent down again, only to be hit again on the head, this time it felt the force was stronger. That was when I saw them -- all 3 of them -- again coming towards my direction, so I stood up and tried to defend myself using the cloth I was holding. but they were aggressive and were having these very loud noises. I quickly got back inside but in my haste I dropped the bottle filled with cleaning solution at my doorstep.

Even when I got inside the apartment i could hear them as they continued with the noises, and were flying here and there non stop until night time - unbelievably. They seemed to be tireless, like they were patrolling the area.

My husband said this morning there were not pigeons. They were black, large birds.

And this morning when I got outside for work, they were there again. One of them again came to my direction but I ran back the house and only got out with my husband as escort. I cannot live like that. I think I have to transfer apartment again if they continue to attack me.

Was it like this?
Yes like in the video, but more aggressive.

This morning they wanted to attack me while I was feeding my colony, but obviously they could not come near me due to the presence of the cats around me in all sizes.
