I had cucumbers and tomatoes coming out of my ears this year from the garden. I made and froze some sauce from the tomatoes. I decided to try making some pickles. The first ones were not so good. After I made them my husband informed me that he didn't care for dill pickles. The next batch was bread and butter refrigerator pickles. I had to do those because when I went to can them, I discovered I couldn't use my canning pot on my ceramic top stove. The next ones I made, also bread and butter, I bought a flat bottomed stock pot to can in. It will do until I can get a pressure canner. We are well stocked with b&b pickles for the year!!
