I posted a couple weeks ago here: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/321397/...-kittens-smallest-one-got-away-and-is-missing
Mom and the escapee are doing fine. I feed them morning and evening, and they spend the hot days on my patio in the corner where it's shaded. They roam and hunt or whatever they do all night and sometimes get up on my roof. I still need to figure out how to catch the smart little one so he/she can be neutered. I have yet to get a good view of its butt to tell if it is male or female.
The 3 siblings are still with my rescue friend, who had been giving them antibiotics for respiratory infection. They are done with their meds now and ready to come home. She really thinks that at least two of them can be socialized and adopted. I would love that, because I know life for homeless cats can be nasty, brutish and short. I may even consider keeping Dusty and Minnie if I get them to a point where they will get along with my two adult cats. I still need to get them tested for FELV and FIV before i can even consider introducing them.
She's lending me a large cage, and small litter box, and they will live in my spare room. I'm cat proofing it so they can come out and play, but not sure how in the hell I'm going to catch them to go back in their cage at night and when I go to work.
I ordered a big cat tree/condo on Amazon. I will have fun setting it up when it arrives later next week. I think the kittens will like this and whether or not I keep or adopt them, my kitties will like it, LOL!
Any ideas? I will be posting here with updates after I get them home. Wish me luck!
