I am so happy she tested negative for leukemia and aids. It sounds like she may be like the declawed starving cat I rescued, and although he never got chunky, he did stop being a feline skeleton after about a month because he ate well and we fed him the best food as well as freshly cooked chicken with lots of natural chicken fat. We never knew how old he was (all the vet could say was "over 10 years old") so for all we know, he could have been 18 -- and he had two good years after that. Each day you give her is a blessing.
