I live in an apartment and have recently started seeing sugar ants and occasional silverfish. I think they must be coming from a neighbor's apartment, since I have been here two years and never had a problem before. I have been using Orange Guard for a while since it's safe for my cat, but it seems to only keep the bugs away for a week or two. I thought that since my cat and I will be out of town, they could spray the apartment while we were gone. Then by the time we got back the insecticide would be dry and no longer dangerous. I spoke to the pest control company and they assured me that once the chemical dries (that same day), it is completely safe for pets.
Have any of you had your place sprayed with commercial insecticides, and is it true that they are safe for cats once they've dried?
Thanks....
