After any surgery my vet always sends home instructions that include information that it is normal for kitties to be hoarse for a week or so after any surgery. They have such tiny airways that it is hard for them to be intubated for any length of time without a little damage to the vocal cords. Sounds like she is doing well, though I know you won't take a really deep breath until after that 90 days is up. BeckyOriginally Posted by jennyranson
But she does not seem to be in pain although her meow is strange and sometimes she opens her mouth and meows but no sound comes out. I wonder if her throat is sore from an anaesthetic tube.
