Hi everyone I am new here. I went on google searching for a forum so I can get some tips. Now mind you I have had Persians in the past. One I kept shave down with a lion cut and the other was silky haired almost and didn't knot easily.
Well I have two new kitties. 4 years old. Adopted them this week. The one has mats and the lady keeps him shaved most of the time and you can tell his lion cut is growing out. I have taken several mats out of his fur and there are 2 large ones I will have to cut out.
The other isn't as bad but he doesn't like combing too much and is developing mats as well.
Does anyone know of a good comb to use on these guys? Not only to help get the knots out but to get down to the base and under coat? Can you link?
My comb does the job but by the end of the day they are getting knotted again.
Also I used to use Omegaderm because my late cat had very bad dry skin and dermatitis. Looks as if one of these also has it just not as bad. Fish oil and flax seed oil will do the same no?
