If the behavior re-occurs, go straight to the vet and get the kitty checked for a UTI. A UTI can occur at any time! You cat could be at the vet yesterday, get a clean bill of health and within 24 hours develop UTI symptoms.
My cat started having accidents. My mom said it was behavioral but we took him to the vet just in case. He had a SEVERE uti, with bacteria and blood in his urine. If a uti is not treated, the infection can go to the kidneys. It is nothing to mess around with.
