My female cat, about 6 yrs old, had a weird time of it last night. She was chewing on her front paws and her back paws as if she had syrup or sap on them. I checked and they were totally clean. At the same time she would shake her paws, sometimes two at a time, very quickly as when they do when their paws are wet. Ratta-tat-tat! She was declawed (BEFORE I adopted her!!) and I was suspecting some leftover nerve pain from that operation, which was at least 5 years ago. She let me gently hold a paw and brush the top with a soft brush but then she wanted nothing to do with me. She ran to sleep in a strange place. This morning she was on my bed and seemed pretty normal. I am worried about her having a stroke, for lack of a better term. Something neurological? This is a very sensitive cat. When we have guests stay over, she is friendly but will poop in the living room the next morning.
