So, since I got my kitties I find myself increasingly using ecologically safe cleaners, etc. (better for me too!). And, ok, don't bake a lot but realized my oven did need some cleaning. I ended up using baking soda since I decided Easy Off, etc., seemed too dangerous around my kitties. And it worked ok, but wondered if anyone had suggestions for safe cleaners to use around pets. I didn't even want to do the ammonia sitting in the oven overnight, because I was worried about fumes, but maybe that was going too far? Thanks!

I use a regular oven cleaner if I need to, I just block the kitties at the other end of my place so they can't come into the kitchen

But for regular cleaning I use
* 5 T Baking Soda
* a few drops Liquid Dish Soap
* 4 T White vinegar
It makes a paste you wipe on with a sponge, leave it for a bit and then wipe off
