he had an allergic reaction to flea bites a few weeks ago and last week he started to lose weight, lost his appetite and was lethargic and mopey. he hasn't been himself for a little over a week.
he went to the vet, she suspects dry FIP from his bloodwork and presentation. he has always been slightly smaller and seems to be declining. she sent us home with clavamox, i am forcefeeding him babyfood mixed with KMR.
what else can i do? i am making sure he eats, drinks, and giving him his meds. our housemate is flooding him with reiki (she is an energy healer so hey why not try, it can't hurt at any rate)
our vet is not very hopeful... she said we can't diagnose FIP without the rising titers and most cats don't last the three weeks between titers so she just told us to keep him warm fed and hydrated and he would either start to get better eventually or he would just waste away.
we don't want to just give up without a fight
we have his littermate here as well and i am just broken-hearted thinking of how lonely he would be without his brother.
