Our dear friend and TCS moderator Fran passed away this morning.

Words fail me at this point, so I will just share the poem that her husband Rob sent out this morning -

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So He closed his arms around you,
And whispered "Come to Me."

You suffered much in silence,
Your spirit did not bend,
You faced your path with courage,
Until the very end.

You did not deserve what you went through,
And so He gave you rest,
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.

And when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain,
We could not wish you back,
To suffer that again.

Rest in peace, sweet Fran.

Fran it's been a pleasure working with you and were all going to miss you so much
.

One of the memories of Fran that l shared with the other Mods last week was the thread that we still have going here which is the "What's for dinner". I used to love reading what Fran was making because it always sounded lovely!.

RIP Fran. Heaven is a lucky place to have you

I've always had nothing but the utmost respect for you. I regret we never met over one of your delicious meals. :heart2: I will miss your steadiness, level head and quick wit. My life is richer for having known you.

Rest in Peace, my friend. :heart2:

My deepest condolences to you, Rob. :hugs:

This is such a shock to me as well, I didn't realize she was sick. She was always so nice and respected.

Rest in peace Fran, this is a sad day for this world having to lose you. :(

Words ... fail me.

Fran was always such a kind and gentle soul, so concerned when I was ill, sending me cards, letters and special goodies in the mail.  I have been away from TCS for a long while now and only learned tonight of her passing.  My heart is heavy and my mind filled with such loving memories of her support, encouragement and yes, even jokes in the face of adversity.

I will miss her greatly.

I am so sad to see Fran has left us... She was such a  quality person, and loved the kitties so very much.  I know her sweet Cindy is on her moms lap now.  Together again and never to be parted.

My sympathies to Rob and her family.  She will definately be missed by her TCS family.

God Bless.

words fail me also.  I have tried for a few hours now to put into words what I want but I can not.

Fran, you have always been so wonderful to me, such an amazing friend.  I was sure we would meet one day from across the oceans.  My heart is so heavy at this news and tears have flowed.

I hope that you have been met my Cindy and Suzi also if she passed onto the bridge.  I will miss you so much my dear friend.  Your strength has inspired me.

love to Rob during this time

xoxo

Ah yes, the Chocolate Elf. I was fortunate to have been visited by it as well.   I can still see them now. l think it was 4 little chocolates in a lovely presentation box?

I've still got the croc pot recipe book Fran sent me when she was my SS one year,  because i'd just purchased my slow cooker looking for recipes

It was. :) I nominated someone to be a recipient and the Elf was kind enough to send me a surprise package as well. :heart2:
