We live in a very rural area. Kit Kat is about two. He was abandoned by a tenant of ours about a year ago. He kills two birds a day that I see. I try to get the bird and let it go. I try to lock up Kit Kat, while I get the bird to fly outside. I hear the dog door flap when he comes and goes. I've read all the bell collar comments, and I still don't know if I should put one on him. He sleeps most of the day, and runs around at night. He also brings in live mice. He generally stays on our 1-1/2 acre home site. I think I'll start with a little collar and see how he reacts to that. He's a Norwegian Forrest Cat. He doesn't meow, but he complains loudly and oddly when confined -- while I'm trying to save a bird or mouse. I am going to get him chipped. He doesn't eat his catch.
