Other Protective Skin Products Besides Suitical ?

Have any of you used Suitical to prevent your cat from licking an area where she has created an iritated area on her stomach. Vet says to use this protective "vest" until the area is healed. Must take off, apply Quadritop Ointment twice a day till healed. Taking off and putting back on, Misty probably won't like that. Also must administer a 1/2 size pill once a day.
Have any of you used the Suitical skin or similar product? Or had to treat your cat for something similar? Any suggestions to make it easier would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! I'm not a member who has experience with this but I was wondering how things are going?
Is your kitty ok with the pill? Could you use a pill pocket, or may a little butter?

Have you considered an inflatable recovery collar instead of a suitical, or does the area have to covered with something? If not, maybe something like this, which can be found on amazon:
