Vet appointment for next week, developed almost 3 weeks ago and has gotten worse and increased in size. Doesn’t seem to be painful, but dry. Flakey and irritated. Anyone ever seen something like this before ?

Oh, poor baby! There are a lot of things that could be. My personal guess is that it's an abscess or something fungal. Good on you for getting an appointment, your vet will be able to perform a scrape and give you a definite answer! I would keep the area clean with soap and water. Don't put anything (Neosporin, etc.) on it.

How is your kitty feeling? Eating/drinking/playing/etc.?

I also think it's either an abscess or something fungal, leaning towards the latter.

One thing, though - I do NOT reccomend using soap and water on it. It's too close to the eyes, and you don't know for sure what it is yet. Instead, I'd use a saline solution to clean it (just salt and boiled, cooled water). Its a much safer choice, especially on the face ;) Saline/salt water is my go-to for first aid on furbaby wounds of any type.
