My little kitty critter likes two separate company's foods. I do 1/2 and 1/2 of each. Is it safe or should she only be eating food from the same maker?
Thanks for any comments.

What does your cat like? Canned food or dry? Cats like variety in their diet. Generally it's fine to feed two different brands of food as long as your cat can tolerate it without any tummy issues. \

For dry food, I put a smaller amount (maybe two or three pounds) in a plastic storage box. That's enough to feed them for a couple weeks, I guess. If I have another dry food, I just pour it in the box when it's not yet empty and stir it around. That mixes the two foods together for a transition period and the cats don't change suddenly. Seems to work fine.

As for wet food, they get changed cold turkey. Fortunately, mine seem to have no particular problems changing food and they eat whatever is presented to them. Most of the time, I stick to one brand, even though the wet food may be different.

Thanks Vince.
I use canned pate only so it's not a problem.
