On raw diet but pooping every day?

Hey guys,

My 4 month kitten has been on a high quality tin (Almo Nature/ Natures Menu/ Garu) and raw food diet since 9 weeks old.

He has always predominately pooped every other day, yet now that he is on 95% raw diet he's pooping every day?

He was on Natural Instinct raw and home made raw and there were no problems, but recently I've added Purrform raw & I've noticed he's pooping more! 

Any reason why? It seems so strange since they're supposed to poop less on a raw diet, no?

I think it really depends on the cat and how their digestive system works. My cats have been eating raw since they were kittens and both poop every single day. Other cats may poop every other day. Daily pooping is fine IMO

Sometimes poop habits change as a cat gets older but as long as there isn't constipation or other issue I wouldn't worry about it.

Our cats eat about 60% raw, 40% canned and both poop almost every day, not very much per cat. I wouldn't be concerned about daily pooping, either.

That says, it does seem a bit odd that your cat is pooping more now that he's eating more raw food. Is it possible that the new raw food has less bone than the previous food? High bone content can make some cats constipated.

Thank you for your replies. Yeah it is pretty strange, maybe it is the bone content!

Just wanted to check to see if anyone else had anything similar with Purrform!

My male cat, who eats about 95% raw, poops almost every day. Sometimes he skips a day. His poop frequency seems related to how much total food he eats. If he is overeating a bit, he poops more. When we cut back, then he generally poops every other day. Additionally, if he has more fiber in his diet, which varies by what we feed him, he poops more. In any event, the volume is so much less than it used to be so even when he poops daily, I don't mind.
