I left Caeser outside for a bit, and I saw him with a DEAD RAT in his mouth. He muist have killed a wild rat. GAWD! I SCREAMED. I can't bare to touch it, even if I really need to for Caeser.
What should I do?
I'll ask dad. If he won't do it..then..Originally Posted by Mom of Franz
How about collecting the rat with a broom and a dustpan, then dump him in a bag. I truly feel for you. Honestly, there would not be enough Valium in this world to get me through it. Or maybe better yet, find a braver family member, neighbor or friend to do the deed.
Yikes! That's way to tactile for me, you would feel the "squish!" Even better than a shovel: a truck with crane or a fork-lift! Do you happen to have any spare ones hanging around your place?Originally Posted by katl8e
Whenever I take a dead bird from the dogs, I use the charcoal tongs, from the grill and toss it into our big roll-out garbage bin.

No "squish" - I don't pinch the tongs that tightly and pick them up by a leg or wing.Originally Posted by Mom of Franz
