my neighbor feeds her lab omega 3 supps to counteract lab allergy to chicken and it helps.
anyone know if this might work with cats?
not sure he's allergic ...yet, but suspicious.

lately O was scratching and chewing (no teeth) til the back of his hind legs were red.
rubbed a little evco on his skin and that seems to have helped a lot.
no sign of pain or fleas.

Wouldn't hurt to try it. I don't know why that would counteract an allergy unless it makes the skin more moist. I might try it on my Molly, I haven't found anything yet that helps with her chewing and licking!

I would try it, too. Chicken is very high in Omega 6, not so Omega 3's so adding this to his diet might help counter-act any imbalance that's going on. Keep in mind it can take a few weeks to see results though. My cats like Nordic Naturals FWIW!

If you're using one formulated for pets, they should have instructions on the bottle. If you're not, I'd start with a drop to make sure he tolerates it and then gradually increase.
