I have a inside female cat (Sam) who is 3 years old. The problem is my family and I have found a cat (or should I say he found us). He most likely was dropped off on our street
. We have all fell in love with him and he is like a member of our family now. The thing is...we want to let him live inside (since he loves being inside)BUT Sam isn't to crazy about the idea. When we let him inside we have to keep her in a seperate room just so they won't fight. When they meet face to face they both hiss at each other and we have to step in before it turns ugly. He leaves Sam alone but Sam doesn't leave him alone. What I was wondering is how do we introduce the two of them so he can have a perminent home? Will there ever be a time that they will get along and live in the same home? I am concerned because he is maybe 2x's bigger than Sam and I am afraid he will hurt her if they do not get along. Since we live in the middle of the woods and there are only 3 other homes where we live people are constantly dropping off their unwanted animals
and we are animal lovers and we cannot turn them away! Can someone please let me know if we are making the right decision when it comes to trying to make these two cats get along
?
