in Fluff's ear flap....which part exactly is the ear flap?? The vet explained it to me, but I just want a picture of what I am about to do here....she can't seem to lay comfortably and seems irritated....she has hissed a few times, but not because she is mad..you can tell she is starting to get cranky......thanks for any info

Kathy when you look at your cat and she is facing you- see the tip of her ear? Inside her ear (not in the canal) but up on the tip of her ear inside- that is considered the ear flap.

ok..i see..i thought that was it, but I wasn't positive...I am jsut wondering how does this ease her pain with it in the ear like that? I didn't ask the vet, but I am just doing what I am told....
Thanks

Kathy, I might be wrong here, but I know that some medicines for cats can be made into a gel kind of substance that you just put on the inside of their earflap. It's supposed to get into their bloodstream from there and go off to do its job. I believe it's to make it easier on us humans than pilling our cats. (If I'm mixed up about what kind of medicine you have to give Fluffy, just ignore me, I'm trying to get through tons of posts!
