I can not believe what just happened!! A while back I had gotten an email about some poetry contest and I decided to go for it..so I sent in one of my poems. Well the other day I got a letter in the mail saying that I have been chosen to be a semi-finalist and that my poem will be published in a book!!! So now I have a chance of winning a thousand dollars but that doesn't even matter to me..MY POEM IS BEING PUBLISHED!!!! Incase you're wondering this is the poem I had sent in..
"My Heart"

My heart has been gone for so very long.
Now maybe now, it has decided to return.
Will it come back? or will it stay gone.
Is it returning to me? This I wonder.
My heart has been shattered so many times.
Now maybe now, it's pulling back together.
But it's so hurt, so fragile this heart of mine.
Will it stay whole this time forever?
My heart was once so dark, now starting to shine.
Full of love, yet sometimes hates.
Full of respect, yet sometimes debates.
My heart so valuable, my heart so fine.
Forever God's, this heart of mine.
Wish me luck that I'll win in the semi-finals!!!!
